BIO

Cam has spent nearly 40 years in the field of executive and leadership development working globally with business, government, and non-profit leaders in the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Europe.  With his partner, Dr. Pamela Fuhrmann, he is co-founder of the Conscious Leadership Institute (2005) and the One Earth Leadership Consortium (2023).  He has designed, developed, and delivered programs, workshops, and retreats for many well-known global organizations, including Aditya Birla Group, Brambles, Danone, Engie, Hollard Group, Kohler Company, Mahindra & Mahindra, NASA, The Nature Conservancy, Rand Mutual Assurance, Schneider Electric, SCOR, Standard Bank, Trane Technologies, and Volvo Group. 

 

Over his career, Cam has worked with Indiana University, the University of North Carolina, and the University of Notre Dame (US), INSEAD and CEDEP (France), Shizenkan University (Japan), IEDC-Bled School of Management (Slovenia), and the Johannesburg Business School and Gordon Institute of Business Science (South Africa) in the development and delivery of executive development programs. 

 

Cam began his career in executive and leadership development at Indiana University, assisting with the launch of the office of executive education for the Kelley School of Business in 1985.  He later led the office from 1991 to 2005.  While with the Kelley School, he was part of a multi-university consortium funded by the US Agency for International Development that co-developed and supported management education centers with universities in Budapest, Warsaw, and Prague after the fall of the Berlin Wall. 

 

Previously, Cam was a speech writer for the President of Indiana University and a member of a US delegation sent to Moscow in dialogue with a Soviet delegation just prior to the first summit between Reagan and Gorbachev in 1985. He was also an officer in the US Air Force, and over the course of his brief military career, he was a Navigator, Squadron Commander, and Wing Executive Officer.

 

Cam earned a BA in Classical Antiquity from the University of Kansas and a MA in English Literature and a Medieval Studies Certificate from Indiana University.
